Tracy "Rasha" Alexander began teaching beginning bellydance for Central
Oregon Community College's Community Education program in 2005. She
was inspired by bellydance when she lived in Hawaii and saw a dancer at a
Moroccan restaurant.  Upon learning of the growing dance community in
Bend, she found her passion for bellydance in 1996 under the guidance of
Maya. After sampling many styles and personalities of the dance, she
developed a playful, graceful style of her own.  Rasha's welcoming personality
creates a non-threatening and creative environment for students new to
bellydance, as well as for those students who return session after session.
