Kamini discovered Middle Eastern Dance soon after her
migration to Oregon. After dabbling in a few Egyptian
Cabaret classes, she stumbled upon an American Tribal
Style group nature of the dance. A few years later she
began performing and in 2005 she co-founded a Tribal
Fusion troupe called The Bijou Project.
After eight years of performing improvisational American
Tribal Style and Tribal Fusion, Kamini has branched out into
solo performances and collaborations with dancers
performing a variety of Middle Eastern dance styles.
When Kamini dances, she strives to convey the essence of
the music and life experience through movement. Whether
she is conveying a particular emotion evoked by the music,
a story, a feeling, technique, or humor, her performances
give the audience a feeling of having experienced something
timeless and uniquely special.
Types of performances offered: Kamini is available to teach workshops and perform at festivals, family celebrations
and community events. A performance history is available upon request. . Past performances include regular shows
at Taj Palace, the Portland Rose Festival, Tribal Fest, Rakkasah West, COYO CD release party, Tribal Pura in Eugene,
