As a bellydance troupe the Bijou Project culminates their
experience in various dance forms to create a unique
style of Fusion belly dance. Performing locally and
throughout the west coast, their dances are a
combination of modern Tribal Fusion both captivating to
watch and a pleasure to perform.
Their name, Bijou, is the French word for jewel, and
Project was decided upon because the collaboration is a
continual creative "work in progress."
Since their inception, the Bijou Project has traveled
throughout the Pacific Northwest to perform at venues
such as the Portland Rose Festival, the Mediterranean
Fantasy Festival, and the Tribal Quest Northwest
Dancers Showcase, as well as performing at local
events such as the Bite of Bend and Bend Summer
Festival.
