Zweena performs classic "old style" bellydance, Egyptian Raks
Sharqi, and Turkish Rom (Gypsy) dance. She has been
performing with with ensembles and as a soloist throughout
the US since 1990 and is director emeritus of Troupe Taleeba.
With a background in education and a masters degree in
education from Harvard University, Zweena's specialty is
presenting educational programs about Middle Eastern dance
for schools, libraries, and multicultural events. Zweena is a
member of the American Guild of Musical Artists.

Types of performances offered: Zweena's performances include nightclub/restaurant shows, weddings/showers, health
fairs/hospital programs, corporate events/conferences, "learn to dance" parties for women and girls, and educational
programs about Middle Eastern dance for schools/libraries/multicultural events. A performance history is available upon

the Living Room in Providence, RI.; large scale conferences such as "Tapestry for Women;" programs for universities such as
Indiana University/Purdue University Fort Wayne; festivals including the Indianapolis International Festival; and stage
performances at major venues including the Embassy Theater, the Fort Wayne Performing Arts Center, and the Chicago Civic
Opera House.
